Tinidazole is an antiprotozoal agent with an antibacterial effect. It is used for such diseases as: trichomoniasis, giardiasis, amoebiasis, infections caused by anaerobic bacteria, used for prevention of postoperative infections.

How does the drug work?

The drug acts bactericidal, penetrating into bacterial cells and destroying the DNA system of bacteria. Thus, bacteria cannot continue to develop and multiply due to the inhibition of the DNA of the killed bacterium. The patient will recover faster.
