Ortho Tri-Cyclen is a 21 tablet daily contraceptive drug with a combined composition of the hormones estrogen and progestin. In addition to the contraceptive effect, these pills can regulate the menstrual cycle, help with painful periods, reduce the risk of ovarian cysts and treat acne. The medicine will not protect you and your partner from STDs.
Composition and analogues of the drug.
The main component in the composition is Ethinyl estradiol and norgestrel.

How does the drug work?
It works by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) and by affecting the movement of sperm in the uterus to prevent them from joining an egg. It also changes the lining of the uterus and makes it unsuitable for pregnancy.
How to use and dosage.
The tablet is taken regardless of the meal. You need to take it on the first day of the menstrual cycle and continue taking it for a month, if it ends, start again. You may vomit, if this happens within 4 hours, then take the pill again. If you forget to take a pill, use a condom to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
Side effects and contraindications.
Side effects: nausea, vomiting, dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract, jaundice, headache, migraine, depression, dizziness, change in libido.
Contraindications: severe heart failure, pregnancy, breastfeeding period, breast cancer, pregnancy herpes.
