DOSTINEX is a hormonal drug used to prevent physiological lactation after childbirth, suppression of lactation after childbirth, hyperlactation, amenorrhea, aligomeneria, anovulation, galactorrhea, idiopathic hyperprolactinemia.

Ingredients: the main component is cabergoline, excipients: anhydrous lactose, leucine.
Analogues: Agalates, Bergolac, Cabergoline.

How does the drug work?

Cabergoline has a strictly selective effect, does not affect the basal secretion of other pituitary hormones and cortisol. The prolactin-lowering effect of cabergoline is dose-dependent both in terms of severity and duration of action.
The pharmacological effects of cabergoline, not associated with a therapeutic effect, include only a decrease in blood pressure. With a single dose of the drug, the maximum hypotensive effect is observed during the first 6 hours and is dose-dependent.

Side effects: depression, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, heart valve damage, nausea, dyspepsia, gastritis, abdominal pain.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to cabergoline, fibrotic changes in the lungs, lactose intolerance, childhood and adolescence, pregnancy, breastfeeding.
