Cleocin is a drug from the group of antibiotics called lincosamides. It is used for such diseases as pharyngitis, throat diseases (tonsillitis), sinusitis, ear inflammation (otitis), pneumonia, lung abscess, scarlet fever, diphtheria, chlamydia bacteria, female infections (vagina), wounds infected as a result of injury, abscesses, boils abdominal cavity, from the back, acute and chronic osteomyelitis, prevention of peritonitis.

Composition and analogues of the drug.

Composition: the main active ingredient is clindamycin instead of hydrochloride, as well as excipients – corn starches, lactose monohydrates, powdered talc, magnesium stereate.
Analogues: Dalacin, Clindamycin, Clindamycin J, Dalacin Phosphate, Linkovil, Lincolin, Lincomycin hydrochloride.

How does the drug work?

The drug in action and antimicrobial spectrum corresponds and is similar to lincomycin in relation to certain types of microorganisms (bacteria), especially in relation to bacteroids and non-reproducing anaerobes, it is almost 10 times more active.

How to apply and dosage?

The tablet is taken orally with milk or warm water. Preferably during meals and before meals.
The dosage regimen is individually prescribed by the doctor, it depends on a number of important factors – diagnosis, age, body weight, as well as other concomitant diseases.
