Abilify is an antidepressant drug for the treatment of acute attacks of schizophrenia, as well as chronic types of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder. It is also used to treat various disorders associated with depression.

Composition and analogues of the drug.

The main active ingredient is aripriprazole 1 tablet is equal to 10 mg. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, crospovidone, xylitol, acesulfame potassium, tartaric acid, pineapple flavor, magnesium stereate.
Analogues: Abilify, Alembic Pipzol, Amdoal, Aripiprazole, Ariprizol, Zilaksera, Ralotex.

How the drug works and doses.

After oral administration, aripiprazole is well absorbed, in the blood it is determined after 3-5 hours. This means that it begins to act on the body completely. Eating does not affect the absorption of the drug.
The dosage regimen is prescribed individually by the doctor, depending on the diagnosis, age and previous diseases. It is recommended not to exceed 30 mg per day.

Side effects and contraindications

Side effects: insomnia, drowsiness, depression, agitation, panic reactions, stroke, hypotension, euphoria, akinesia, loss of consciousness, memory loss, shortness of breath. Possibly asthma.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to aripiprazole, adolescence under 18 years of age, breastfeeding and children under 18 years of age. Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular insufficiency.
